There are four main surfable beaches along the Costa Verde beach road in Miraflores, Lima, and all are within a 15-minute walk of each other. South of the pier at Rosa Náutica Restaurant’s is Redondo, and from there head north of the pier to find the breaks of Makaha, Waikiki and La Pampilla. All breaks are fairly consistent year round but best with a swell from the southwest. The shore and beach area of all four beaches consists primarily of large and small pebbles, making walking and entering/exiting the water difficult. The water can be very polluted. When you think you’ve just paddled through a jellyfish, it’s more likely a just plastic bag or other plastic product. All breaks handle up to a maybe a little overhead wave, but consistently see waist-high to head-high surf. At Waikiki parking is tight, but the other three beaches have plenty of parking.
