Finish your cup of coffee or glass of wine at Larcomar and head north along Malecón de la Reserva. Walk along the scenic path for ten minutes and you’ll see a little yellow bridge; behind the bridge is an imposing red sandstone sculpture, sitting atop a black marble pedestal, which will immediately steal your attention. This is Parque del Amor and the sculpture depicts a man embracing his love. The park’s charm and character compensate for its small size. Beds of crimson roses, daffodils and violets, carved in various shapes, stud the green grass. A white concrete bench, decorated with colorful mosaic tiles, presses against the cliffs’ edges. Various couples, young and old, cuddle in the little enclaves and savor the sunset. The park truly embodies its name and is as safe as a hug. Av. Malecón Cisneros and Av. Diagonal
