Miraflores is one of Lima’s swankier neighborhoods with fancy hotels and chic hostels. Accommodations for the traveler interested in low-budget travel include many clean, cheap hostels. The atmosphere tends to be laid back and sociable with youthful staff excited to offer advice about the city. There is also a variety of mid-range to high-end hostels and hotels offering many luxuries and great views overlooking the ocean. The area is generally safe; however, like all cities, it is recommended that you be aware of your surroundings, as things do happen. The neighborhood attracts many young travelers and weekends can get pretty noisy.
