Arúgula is a quiet after-theatre or -cinema restaurant a few blocks from Larcomar and the centre of Miraflores. It is quiet and unassuming with a played down elegance. It is one of the favorite hangouts for Peru's best writers and artists, who usually are found conversing in the corner tables over the excellent wines that are offered. Dishes of the day are written on a blackboard and include such delicacies as tuna tartare, rabbit ravioli, osobucco with saffron, among other wonders. The three types of mushroom pizza is wonderful. Salads include squash flowers filled with prosciutto, or fresh dates with blue cheese, grilled chicken breast rolled in sesame, of course, all served over a bed of arugula.
