Coco de Mer

This is an excellent home-away-from-home when you’re feeling lost in Lima’s hectic core. The place has a lovely atmosphere and the British owners have given it a classy yet casual feel. One of the interesting aspects is that they have local art on the walls and it isn’t the usual artesany, poncho-style stuff! The other great thing is that the restaurant serves food and drinks all day long, unlike most places, and the prices are very reasonable. Coco de Mer is highly recommended if you are passing through Lima.

Coco de Mer is a breath of Fresh Air!!

This place has got it all!! During the day its a loungy, newspapers and coffee kind of place and they have a cheap lunch option. When we returned in the evening, it had transformed into the kind of place where you could wine and dine and spend a comfortable night observing the Lima night life while being extremely well attended by their gorgeous waiters! The music was good and not too loud and the local art work is excellent ( and for sale too!). The food was really good and very reasonably priced. Well worth the visit.
