Sidrik's is one of the leading alpaca wool retail outlets in Peru, and it is worth going out to Pueblo Libre in order to take advantage of dazzling array of native clothing items, including but not limited to the world famous chullo, the somewhat pointed wool cap designed to keep ears warm in high and cold attitudes--perfect for your hike to Machu Picchu. There is also the accompanying floor-length scarf, as well as alpaca trousers, skirts, vests and ties--with many colorful varieties of indigenous designs and patterns. With the current exchange rate favoring the dollar over the sol, the prices are a fraction of what you would pay for these clothes as exported items.
