Cajamarca Things to See and Do

follow us

Tourism is somewhat new to Cajamarca, but there are still a number of noteworthy sights to explore-without the crowds of tourists. In the center of the city you will find several colonial houses, beautiful churches, modest museums, and Atahualpa's famous El Cuarto de Rescate (ransom room). Outside of the city, there are the thermal Banos del Inca (hot springs), the amazing Cumbemayo with its impressive Inca Aqueduct and the Ventanillas de Otuzco (a necropolis with a window-like appearance).
