When to Go to Chiclayo
Travel Tips Types:
Climate, peak seasons, Holidays and festivals
Similar to other places along the coast, the best weather in Chiclayo is from January to March. Throughout the rest of the year the days are overcast and the nights are cool.
Chiclayo celebrates its founding day the second and third weeks of April. Festivities include the crowning of Señorita Chiclayo dances, artisan shows and a gastronomic fair.
Then, tourism week occurs during the third week of September, at the same time as a local bicycle race.
October is a month devoted to the sport of motorcross.
December highlights the main industries of Chiclayo with the Feria Ganadera (Cattle Fair) during the first week of the month. Then there is the Agrocultural, Industrial and Artisan Fair on Christmas Eve.
