Romana is another longtime favorite for taste buds favoring the local delights, some of which are a bit adventurous. Pasta dishes, humitas (corn tamales steamed in corn husks) and sandwiches, as well as chicken, meat and seafood plates, are all available for the simpler palates. It also has decently priced breakfasts. Like many other haunts in town, you get the feeling of Chiclayo circa 1965. Monday-Saturday 7 a.m.-1 a.m., Sunday 7 a.m.-8 p.m.
