Most Peruvians coming to Huancabamba immediately go on to Lagunas Huaringas to have a healing ceremony done. Few spend a night in this village. It is surprising, therefore, that there are so many hostels here. Most are in the budget to low-mid-range price categories and are simple, family-run inns.
