Hostal Camping Naylamp is another near-budget lodging option in Huanchaco, and one of the few that offers campsites. (If you don’t have a tent, you can rent one.) The hostel is in two parts: The older one, with dorms and private rooms, on Avenida Victor Larco. The second part, with private rooms, campgrounds and common kitchen, is just a back door away, across Jirón Pescador. Rooms are pleasant and clean. Throughout are hammocks to laze away hot afternoons.

When coming from Trujillo, stay on the combi as it swings through the upper part of town. When it returns to the seafront, hop off. Naylamp is right there on the corner.
