If you are a seafood lover, you have come to the right place! This little surf town serves up cheap dishes that are super tasty and many come with a relaxing beach view. Restaurants dot the shore and are mostly open for lunch and dinner (a few for breakfast). Be sure to try the Peruvian treats, after you've tired of the seafood!
Although meals are quite pricey in Huanchaco, the lunch special can help a long way in staying on budget ($1.35-4). The further from the beach you go, the cheaper are the restaurants, especially along Dean Saavedra, as well as near and in the market on Pilcomayo. Several hostels have common kitchens where you can whip up fare.
The restaurant side of the business does all the basics: sandwiches, soups, chicken, spaghetti, fish, lasagna and -even- fondue. Lots ...
