Las Pocitas And Vichayito

For a slightly quieter scene than what Máncora offers, head south on the Pan-American Highway to Las Pocitas, a long strip of sand traced by lush green vegetation. Harboring less people and a distinctly more laid-back atmosphere than the main beach in Máncora, Las Pocitas has become a popular spot for families and anyone who enjoys long walks and lounging on the beach in relative peace.

Further down on the dirt road leading from Las Pocitas is Vichayito. In contrast to Máncora and Las Pocitas, the accommodation here is more spread out and consists mainly of quiet bungalows close to the beach. The landscape here is more open than further north, giving travelers plenty of space to spread a beach towel and sprawl out for a nap. Large groups and families may want to look into renting out one of the houses in the area.
