La Escuela de Wawa

“La Escuela de Wawa” or “Wawa's School” is sponsored by Peruvian surfing champion, Fernando Paraud also known as Wawa. Máncora, whose beaches and Pacific currents attract surfers the world over, offers the perfect setting for the surfing squid. Your pro instructor, Alan Roberto Valdiez, will guide through all phases of aquatic aptitude, from sand zaboob to trimming it on the stick until you can snap up and ice a wave. Alan guarantees “no accidents” and you proceed at your own pace. Classes are 70 minutes long, at a very reasonable $15 each, with all profits going to help local children.
