Manacora's growing recognition as a surfer's paradise has transformed this once-small fishing village into a hopping resort town. During the summer, from late December to March, the city fills to the max with people who want to enjoy the town's sun and sand.
Due to its popularity, the town has a good amount of budget hotels. In contrast to Máncora and Las Pocitas, the accommodation here is more spread out and consists mainly of quiet bungalows close to the beach. Pricing tends to be reasonable, but be sure to shop around to find the best deal. If you are visiting during high season, be sure to make a reservation as far in advance as posible, just to ensure you will have a nice place to end up after a long day of surfing and soaking up the rays.
