Máncora - Getting There and Away

By John Howison

Several bus companies have offices in the center. The cheaper companies charge about $1/hour and the more expensive companies are double that. However, most long-haul trips head south from Tumbes. Colectivos are easy to get from Mancora to Tumbes (2 hours).

There are some buses that head to Lima (14 hrs) directly from Mancora. Buses leave for Chiclayo (6 hrs) and Trujillo (9 hrs) multiple times a day. Buses leave almost hourly for Talara (1.5 hrs), Sullana (2.5 hrs) and Piura (2.5 hrs).

There are also direct buses to Quito (16 hours) a couple times a week.
