Climate, peak seasons, Holidays and festivals
Locals say it never rains and the sun shines every day of the year in Máncora. The heat swells from January to March, just like the crowd of vacationing Peruvians. This is also a prime destination during most national holidays, especially the Fiestas Patrias (mid-July to the first weekend of August). In the high seasons, prices double to triple and lodging is difficult to find, so make reservations in advance during the busier times.
The town celebrates its founding day with celebrations November 4 to 14, which include artisan exhibits, gastronomic fairs and regattas.
