This little charmer, featuring a straw roof and bamboo siding offers inexpensive but very tasty sandwiches, courtesy of its owner, Elsa Ramos Salazar, as friendly and welcoming a local you’ll meet in Máncora. Prices start at $1.50, with a cup of coffee no more than 60 cents.
Especially recommended are the chicken, beef and ham sandwiches, served on toasted, but still very fresh buns. Elsa also makes fresh juices, from papaya to pineapple. This is not exactly haute cuisine, but very likeable with a distinct personal touch, and perfect for a tourist conserving time and money. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Open daily from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
