Climate, peak seasons, Holidays and festivals

By Lorraine Caputo

Zorritos is a popular Peruvian vacation destination from mid-December through March and for the Fiestas Patrias at the end of July. Prices double during these times. The rest of the year the beaches are quiet and the town is laid-back.

The village as a whole, as well as its various beaches, has many religious special masses and processions.

Nuestra Señora de Fátima—May 13 (Los Pinos)

San Pedro—June 29 (Villar)

Santa Clara—August 11-12 (all Zorritos, especially in the countryside)

Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes—September 24 (Villar)

El Señor de los Milagros—mid-October (all Zorritos)
