V!VA User‘s Description
Hotels in the Pacific Coast North of Lima have it all, so much in fact that there have been reports that some low end accommodations' rooms are visited by critters in the night. It is recommended that you do ample research before settling on a place. Some of these same lower end stays do not often have amenities such as hot water, but in the typically warm climate, it is not always a necessity. Be sure to ask about it if it´s important to you. For those looking for a more comfortable stay during their time in the area there are many options available. All of the main cities in the area, Trujillo, Piura, Mánacora, Chiclayo and Huanchaco have places to stay sans critters and with hot water. There are even some options that qualify for four or five stars, offering guests a more elegant stay in this region of Peru.
