Getting around
There are a variety of ways of getting around Piura. Combis run on major streets ($0.35). Taxis cost $1-1.65, depending on distance. Motorcycle rickshaw taxis are a cheaper ($0.50), but are prohibited from running on Avenida Grau and in the downtown area. The main stop for motos is at Parque Colón, also known as Parque Infantil, a block from Óvalo Grau. To the Terminal Terrestre de Castilla, mototaxis should charge $0.65 and taxis $1. Combis and collective taxis for Castilla leave from the corner of Sánchez Cerro and Loreto ($0.35).
