Piura is the home of an international airport by the name of Guillermo Concha Iberico International Airport. It is the second busiest airport in Peru, and is located about 2 km from the main square in Piura.
One can also get to Piura by bus. Many national buses run along the Panamerican Highway from Lima and Tumes. From Lima the trip is about 14 hours and usually costs 14 dollars. In Peru you can always expect to pay about a dollar per hour of bus travel. If you are coming or going to Ecuador, you can take a bus to Sullana, which is just 20 minutes away, and then take another short bus ride to Piura.
Within the city of Piura, most of the bus companies are on the Avenida Sanchez Cerro. Also there are many taxis available throughout the city for times when walking or taking a bus is not an option.
