On a cul-de-sac off Avenida Los Incas, five blocks from the Plaza de Armas, is a budget traveler’s find. The neighborhood edges on a bit sketchy, but Hospedaje Huascar is reported to be a safe retreat. Rooms come with private or common bath and vary in size and quality, so check several before accepting one. In general, the two-person rooms are sufficiently large.
