Hotel

V!VA User‘s Description

Small, but attractive rooms and an inviting courtyard decorated with Huanchaco's reed boats set Hotel Colonial apart from other hotels in Trujillo. A small reading area located downstairs is the perfect place to thumb through guidebooks, or plan an itinerary, and the hotel’s restaurant/café will ensure that you don't go to bed on an empty stomach. Room service is also available. If you prefer a little more peace and quiet, be sure to ask for a room away from the street.

Traveler Reviews of Hotel Colonial

Noisy corner

Rating: 25%

I thought its location in the town centre would be convenient, but it is near one of the busiest street corners, making it smoky and noisy from cars and their hornblowing. The restaurant opens directly onto the street, which was difficult to cross. The room was small and damp and there are cheaper and better places to stay. I did not take their tour, because others said it included too many people, was rushed and the guide did not communicate well in English.
