The Hotel Primavera is far from the center of Trujillo, but in a relatively safe neighborhood, and within walking distance of a local bus terminal for travelers wanting to head north to Ecuador or south to Lima. The building and its rooms don't look to be more than 10 years old, so that starting price of $11 for a single room is not unreasonable.
