Of the hotels in Trujillo, La Alameda de Peregrino is one of the few that offers a tranquil atmosphere away from the noise of honking taxistas and city traffic. All rooms are clean and attractive, equipped with phone, cable TV, refrigerators and some boast excellent views of the city. The hotel also has Internet and laundry service, a tour agency, safe, money exchange, café, bar and a restaurant offering a variety of Peruvian dishes ($2-6). If you have any questions or problems, the English-speaking owner will surely help.
