The following banks exchange American Express travelers checks and US cash dollars, and have Visa, Plus, MasterCard and Cirrus ATMs:
BCP (Monday-Thursday 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m., Friday 9 a.m.-7:30 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Gamarra 562)—ATM also accepts American Express cards.
Scotiabank (Monday-Friday 9:15 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday 9:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Pizarro 314, ATMs on Bolognesi)—Western Union agent.
Interbank (Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-6:15 p.m., Saturday 9:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Corner of Pizarro and Gamarra). GlobalNet ATM also accepts Diners Club.
Banco de la Nación is the MoneyGram agent; its ATM takes Visa and Plus (Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Almagro and San Martín). Mant exchange houses are on Pizarro and on Bolívar, between Orbegoso and Ovalo El Recreo.
Internet ($0.35-0.70 per hour) and phone services are found throughout the city. For traditionalists, the post office is Serpost (Monday-Saturday 8 a.m.-8 p.m., Sunday 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Jirón Independencia 286).
Hospital Belén de Trujillo (Jirón Bolívar 350, Tel.: 24-5281) and Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo (Avenida Mansiche 795, Tel.: 23-1581) provide 24-hour attention to Trujillo's medical needs. Pharmacies are common, especially along Orbegoso and Bolívar.

· Red de Empresarios Artesanales del Circuito Turístico Nororiental (Monday-Saturday 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Sunday 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Jirón Grau 537).
