A popular dish served up by many restaurants in Trujillo is criollo, and at Canana you can enjoy this traditional entree with a side of traditional Peruvian dance. Anyone brave enough to test their foot-stomping skills can bust a move with some of Trujillo’s best bailadores in the enormous stage-and-dance area. To limber up you may want to order una jarra de cerveza (a pitcher of beer) or try one of the enticing mixed drinks. After 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, you can also enjoy more traditional Peruvian music. Open Wednesday through Saturday from 6:30 p.m. to 4 a.m.
