Casa Grillo isn't as fancy as it once was, but it is still a backpacker's haven. The four rooms of this ecological hotel are constructed of bamboo with bamboo furnishings. Most have poster beds for easy hanging of your mosquito net. (If you don't have your own, the staff can provide you with one.) Windows are screened. Spend the afternoon swaying in the front patio's hammocks and come evening whip up your dinner over the kitchen's wood fire. It's a simple life at Casa Grillo, popular not only with budget travelers, but also local lovers looking for seclusion. Guests here can join tours from Hotel Grillo Tres Puntas.
