There are a number of operators who can provide guided tours of Peru. A number of these are based in Peru and can be found in our tour operator listings sections, for Peru and under the main travel areas. Alternatively, there are tour operators based in North America, Europe and Australia, who offer a variety of tours taking in most of the main highlights that Peru has to offer. Companies such as G.A.P. (www.gapadventures.com) based out of Canada, or UK based Tucan Travel (www.tucantravel.com), offer a variety of trips from 3 days and upward that take in just one or two destinations, or tours that explore the country pretty thoroughly, to tours that are multi-country, visiting Peru as part of a trip that may take up to six months and cover all of South America. These types of tours are often group trips where you will be traveling with a number of others from different countries and backgrounds from all over the world. They are more costly than going it alone, but for those short of time who like to have everything organized upfront they can be a good option.
