Laguna Parón sparkles deep with turquoise waters. The surrounding snow-capped peaks are reflected in the depths of the lagoon, making them feel even taller and more magnificent. At the end of the lake, the Pirámide de Garcilaso sits proudly. There is also a challenging rock climbing wall called the Torre de Parón, or the Sphinx. The drive to the Laguna is spectacular; ambitious and fit hikers can trek to it. Public transport is available. 32 km east of Caraz.
