La Punta Grande makes an immediate impression due to its sheer size, seemingly incongruous in a town with such a small population: its seating capacity is close to 250, and offers as many tables outdoors as it does indoors. By contrast their menu offerings are small in number, offering standard variations of beef-chicken-pork-trout-venison…venison? Yes, that's right, and not only that, they raise their own deer, who wander freely around the restaurant, and being used to human contact, are responsive to petting and stroking, and will gladly lick your hands…before they wind up on your plate.
