Los Nogales is one of just a few places for visitors to stay in this charming mountain town. The owners, the Lara family, recently renovated their colonial home into a hotel to accommodate the many hikers stopping in Chiquian on their way to the Huayhuash Mountains. They now offer cable TV, private bathrooms, hot water, a restaurant, internet, room service too. This can be a noisy place, however, due to its location.
The family also operates a tour company called Andes Top Peru, organizing hikes and mountaineering journeys. Head three blocks up from the Plaza de Armas on Jiron Comericio, and you´ll find Los Nogales Hotel (1311 Jiron Comercio).
