V!VA User‘s Description
By Peruvian standards the entrance fees to Parque Nacional HuascarĂ¡n are high; however, the park is in dire need of financial support to help with trail maintenance, trash removal, endangered species protection, community-based programs, and to fund search and rescue teams. Entry for the day is $1.75, and anyone planning to stay in the park for two or more days must purchase a $23 pass, which lasts for one month. Entrance fees can be paid at the park's headquarters in Huaraz (Sal and Rosas 555, tel. 51-84-722-086, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2:30 - 6 p.m. Monday - Friday.) You can also find ticket booths at Laguna Llanganuco, Pastoruri Glacier, Musho village on route to HuascarĂ¡n, and Quebrada Ishinca. During high season there is also a park employee at the Refugio in Quebrada Llaca.
