The Monumento Nacional Wilcahuain is a well preserved, small Wari ruin that dates from about 600 AD. The temple is done in Tiahuanaco style and means "grandson's house" in Quechua. Originally, all the rooms were filled with mummies that were kept dry using a complicated ventilation system. To get there, hail a taxi and they will take you there for just a few bucks or catch a bus by the Rio Quilcay for 30 cents.
