Bistro de Los Andes comes highly recommended and the trout has been praised more than once. They specialize in French and Peruvian cuisine and also offer vegetarian dishes like their yummy vegetable stir-fry. Keeping the early birds in mind, they open at 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. and again at 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. The owner speaks English, French and German.

The owners are fantastic people, the staff are friendly, and the food is great! I lived in Huaraz for four months and ate there at least once a week. Two thumbs up from me
