Transportation
The best way to get to Cajamarca is by plane. Daily flights run to Cajamarca from Lima on Aero Condor PerĂº (076/855-674, $60-$100 average one way) and LC Busre, Monday to Saturday, Sundays are limited. Another option is renting a car, but this is not for the faint of heart, as roads in the Northern Highlands are difficult and often unreliable. Rental agencies and buses leading to Cajamarca can be found in Huaraz, on Highway 109 (accessed via the Pan-American Highway). From there Highway 8 will lead you to Cajamarca. Once in Cajamarca, you can get a tour guide or a driver to take you to lead you to the ruins.
