V!VA User‘s Description

The Spatuletail Lodge is a new lodge, just outside the village of Choctamal and the Kuelap ruins. It is managed by the village and the income is split between the employees. The real attraction of the lodge is its proximity to the Kuelap ruins. The ruins can even been seen from one of the lodges large balconies. However, there is also a hot-tub and a telescope for visitors to use. Also, if you like hummingbirds, the management has placed several hummingbird feeders around the hotel attracting several of the fluttering little birds.
