Restaurant Rocío is a small operation in the front room of a sky-blue house that also functions as a small store. But don't let the primitive feel of this popular comedor or its plastic-tarp ceiling put you off. The drinks are made with boiled water, and the regional foods are tasty. (Try the chicken with olluco—a type of potato—and peas.) Yes, it will come with the obligatory mountain of rice. The menu is 3 soles /$1. Trout and cuy are also prepared a la carte (3.50 soles /$1.15).
