This family-style restaurant is popular with transport and tour groups making a rest stop at Tingo. Service is on-the-mark and friendly. Sit right down, and the señor will be at your table, giving it a quick wiping, and taking your order. Before you know it, a generous plateful of home cooking will be steaming before you, and all for only 3 soles /$1. The owner is helpful, also dishing you up information on local sites–not only Kuélap, but also lesser-known ones like Macro.
