There are no banks in Leymebamba; be sure to have plenty of soles before leaving Chachapoyas or Cajamarca.
Three internet cafés offer services (2 soles/$0.60 per hour): an unnamed one, (Jr. La Verdad 521, across from Cely Pizza; daily 9 a.m. - 10 p.m.); another unnamed one (Ayacucho 525); and the Casa de la Cultura (Jr. Sucre, a half block from the Plaza). The Telefónica on the Plaza is open 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. everyday. There is no post office.
On or near the Plaza de Armas are several bóticas (drugstores). The hospital is at La Verdada and Ayacucho, two blocks from the church.
Tourism information may be obtained from the Instituto Nacional de Cultura on the Plaza (irregular hours). There are no tour companies; tours may be booked through hotels. Recommended guides are Javier Farje and Daniel Aguilar.
The weekly market is Saturday, at the corner of Jr. Sucre and Próspero. Local weavings and other crafts may be bought at the Asociación de Mujeres Artesanas de Leymebamba (AMAL) store, near the church.
