Northern Peruvian Andes - Best Time to Go

+ Add a Photo

By John Howison

The best time to visit the Northern Peruvian Andes is between May and October. The rest of the months are considered the rainy season, especially in Chachapoyas. The rainy season is especially important to take into consideration when traveling to the Northern Peruvian Andes because of the road conditions. Given the shaky status of many of the roads heading up to Chachapoyas and Cajamarca a lot of rain can significantly slowdown travel.
