Its sign states, "Spacious rooms—Reservations for national and international tourists." Well, this tourist certainly had reservations about Hospedaje del Rocío after seeing the bathrooms. But at the price charged per sagging bed ("However many people can fit in one bed," the owner added), what can one expect? The five rooms are spacious, with ceilings draped with blue tarp and sparse furnishings. It is the only lodging option in town, and fills up Saturday nights before the market—and clears out by Sunday afternoon.
