From no-frills hostels to jungle lodges, there is a variety of hotels in Puerto Maldonado. They tend to be a bit on the pricey side, with incredibly simple hostels starting at about nine dollars per night. Nicer hotels are anywhere from $15 to $60 per night. If amenities are important to you, check and make sure that your choice has what you need.
Most have rooms with the standard air conditioning, television, phone and hot water. But not all their rooms may have these things, so be sure to specify what the room you are reserving does and does not have.
Puerto Maldonado is on the edge of the Amazon Jungle, and is often a last stop for travelers heading into la selva. It also has a couple of lodges, for those who want to see some of the jungle but do not have either the time or the desire to dive too deeply into the area.
