This mid-range, by Puerto Maldonado standards, hostel in the Abraham Aguirre Apazabusiness district offers better-than-average rooms, complete with television, table, dresser and even a telephone for as low as nine dollars per single unit. Breakfast is also included. There is a mini-convenience shop where you can pick-up such tourist staples as sunblock, toothpaste and rolls of film. The owners promise a new facility out in the jungle by 2008, so if you stay here you might consider asking about it.
