TOURISM

Huacachina has no tourism office, though hotels and tour operators gladly step up to the plate.

The Police station is located across from the village church, next to Hotel Mossone.

MONEY

There is a GlobalNet ATM (Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club) at El Huacachinero Hotel (Av. Perotti, s/n), though it often runs out of money. Some businesses may exchange U.S. dollars and Euros. Full banking and money exchange facilities can be found in Ica.KEEPING IN TOUCH

Internet: The number of Internet providers can be counted on one hand; most are open 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Internet can be found at Oasis Net at Hostal Salvatierra and also at Restaurant La Sirena (both have Skype services).

Mail: Hostal Desert Nights sells stamps and sends out mail every two days.MEDICAL

The nearest doctor and pharmacy are in Ica. Some shops may have the most basic of medications.

LAUNDRY
