Transportation
Ironically, there are no flights into Nazca. The only way to get to Nazca is on a bus or with a private car. Though Nazca has a busy airport, it only serves planes flying visitors over the Nazca Lines. Since there is no central bus station in Nazca each bus company operates out of private bus terminals. Ormeño has several daily buses to Lima (8 hours) ranging from $6-23, depending on the class. These buses can drop you at intermediate points along the way. Expreso Sanchez has buses to Cusco, which take anywhere between 12 and 14 hours. The advertised cost is $35, but you can usually negotiate down to $25. There are three daily departures to Arequipa. Mini-buses go to Ica (2 hours) and leave whenever they are full (about once an hour) from the roundabout on Lima for about $3.
