When to go

During the summer months, from December to March the weather conditions are wonderful on the southern coast of Peru. The air is hot and humid and the sky is blue. During the winter months of May to November, however, the weather can be rather unpleasant. In the mornings it can be very chilly. Also, the moisture in the air tends to condense and form a drizzle called garúa.
Another thing to keep in mind when planning a trip is the fact the prices tend to vary depending on the season you visit. High season is considered the months of December to March, and July to August. During this time prices will be higher. Also during some holiday seasons, such as Easter, things may be more costly at some places.
