No sign announces Hospedaje Shalom’s presence. It is the unassuming building to the left of the Hotel Gran Palma. This sets the scene for Shalom: A simple, 16-room hostel run by friendly Doña Edna and her family. The rooms are spacious and simply furnished. Those on the beach-side have large picture windows. The beds are excellent and the private baths are nicely finished with hot water on request. Her son offers independent tours and other services.
