Food in Paracas is expensive compared to many other places in Peru. Even the produce vendors and shops tend to be a bit pricey. Groups may try bargaining a lower price, especially in the evening. As can be expected, many varieties of fish and seafood (especially scallops) make their way onto local menus. Little choice outside of this exists, and vegetarians will find eating in Paracas to be challenging. Most restaurants close by 8 p.m.
A supermarket, Autoservicio Municipal, is just down from the Centro de Salud, near Plaza Bolognesi (daily 10 a.m.-8 p.m.). Several smaller stores are on Avenida Paracas and the side streets off Plaza Quiñónez.
